Vanessa Purton - 3D OrthoWorks

About Me

Hi, I'm Vanessa Purton. I am a dedicated and highly experienced Orthotist with over 14 years of expertise in delivering specialised orthotic care.

My professional journey is built upon a foundation of academic excellence, holding a First-Class Honours BSc degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics.

I have worked closely with the NHS contributing to some of the busiest and most challenging clinics, assessing for complex functional foot orthoses (insoles); complex AFOs; scoliosis bracing; helmets; bespoke footwear and elastomeric Lycra garments.

My passion now lies in utilising advanced technology:- 3D printed orthoses, to design and create custom orthotic solutions to enhance mobility, attain physical and performance goals, reduce pain and improve quality of life. Working closely with Invent Medical and Technology in Motion, I am able to offer 3D printed bespoke functional foot orthoses (insoles); Raptor protective face masks and infant cranial remoulding helmets (TimBand).

I am committed to providing personalised care, ensuring that each client receives tailored orthotic solutions that meet their unique needs. My approach is centred around compassion, precision, and an understanding of biomechanics and manufacturing processes.

I am a member of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO).

MY APPROACH

Innovative Orthotic Solutions

At 3D OrthoWorks, I am dedicated to redefining orthotic care through innovative 3D printing technology.

The fine degree of customisation and personalisation in 3D printed orthotics represents a significant advancement in medical technology, which I am embracing.

I am committed to delivering personalised orthotic products that enhance mobility, protect, and promote overall wellbeing. Discover the difference of 3D OrthoWorks and experience the future of orthotic solutions.

WHY CHOOSE 3D PRINTING?

What are the benefits?
  • Speed and Efficiency: The process of creating 3D printed orthotics is quicker than traditional methods. Once a digital model is ready, the actual printing process is relatively fast, which can be crucial for timely treatment.

  • Biomechanical precision and patient comfort: thanks to A.I and algorithms, complex designs can be created, and repeated which are strong, incredibly lightweight and breathable.

  • Products are stringently tested for structure and performance, ensuring the highest quality.

  • Eco-Friendly Materials: 3D printing technologies use materials that are recyclable or have a lower environmental footprint compared to traditional manufacturing materials. This can contribute to a more sustainable production process.

  • Reduced Material Waste: Since 3D printing uses precisely the amount of material required (additive manufacturing) to create the orthotic, it minimizes excess. This is in contrast to subtractive methods, which often cut away large amounts of material that end up as waste.
